Marinus currently heads up Carbamide Limited. His passion for agriculture and people started at a young age, having grown up on one of the sugar estates in the lowveld of Zimbabwe. This paved the way for an ambitious career in fertiliser manufacture and international trade. He has been in the industry for over a decade and gained expertise in all facets of the fertiliser value chain – with a strong focus on growing the business in Africa and global sourcing.

Over the years Marinus has built up sound supply chain management and leadership skills, enabling high performance teams to operate at their very best. He has always placed emphasis on cultivating a competitive advantage and ensuring long term business sustainability. He has led numerous teams ranging in scope from highly technical to strategic. Combined with an in-depth knowledge of the global fertiliser market, Marinus remains focused on the needs of the customer.
